love is

Posted in poetry at 6:40 pm by Debbie Mosley

Love is. . .
Being together
Holding each other close
Being with the one you love the most.
Love is. . .
Sweet, Kind and Gentle
Not hurting
Honoring each other
Not deceiving.
Love is. . .
Caring about someone who cares about you.
Reaching out to someone special
When in need of love and affection
Showing that person the right direction
Love is. . .
Being with the one you love the most.

All You’ve Done

Posted in Music at 6:14 pm by Debbie Mosley

VERSE 1
My Saviour
Redeemer
Lifted me from the miry clay

Almighty
Forever, I will never be the same

PRE-CHORUS
Cause You came here
From the everlasting
To the world we live
The Father’s only Son

CHORUS
And You lived
You died
You rose again on high
You opened the way for the world to live again
Hallelujah, for all You’ve done

This is the Christmas season. The time of the year we celebrate the greatest evangelistic event in history. The birth of Jesus Christ brought about a new plan of redemption that was actually planned out at the beginning of time. With the Nativity Story out in theaters, we can behold the beauty of this season.

May everyone have a Great Christmas Season!!!

He knows my name

Posted in Music, Uncategorized at 2:41 am by Debbie Mosley

I have a Maker

He formed my heart

Before even time began

My life was in His hands

I have a Father

He calls me His own

He’ll never leave me

No matter where I go  He knows my name

He knows my every thought

He sees each tear that falls

and He hears me when I call

Truly Amazing

Posted in Music at 2:30 am by Debbie Mosley

Who is the maker of this sea I’m upon
Who is the strength behind the wind
The same it is who has redeemed my soul
And placed this virtue within
So I can speak to these waves and see them obey
When the storm has calmed all I can say

chorus:
Truly Amazing, is our God
Mighty in power, gracious in love
Master of everything, servant He came
Isn’t our God, truly our God is amazing

Who is the whisper that leads me on
Who is this gentle unseen hand
He is the peace that passes all of my fears
As I walk through shadowed lands
He comforts my soul, restores and makes whole
The greatness of His love cannot be told

Power of your love

Posted in Music, Uncategorized at 5:56 pm by Debbie Mosley

Lord, I come to You, Let my heart be changed, renewed,
Flowing from the grace, That I found in You
Lord, I've come to know, The weaknesses I see in me,
Will be stripped away, By the power of Your love
Hold me close, Let Your love surround me
Bring me near, Draw me to Your side
And as I wait, I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You, Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your Love Lord unveil my eyes,
Let me see You face to face The knowledge of Your love,
As You live in me Lord renew my mind,
As Your will unfolds in my life In living every day,
In the power of Your Love

I will worship you

Posted in Music, Uncategorized at 5:48 pm by Debbie Mosley

I will worship You
Worship and adore You
I will worship You
Lay my life before You
I’ll bow my head before Your glory
Worship at Your feet
And I’ll declare that You are worthy
I’ll set my eyes on You alone, and …

I will lift my hands to You
    Saying ”Father, I love You,
    Father, I need You”
I will lift my voice and sing
I will sing of Your glory
    The glory of my King

Because of who you are

Posted in Uncategorized at 5:45 pm by Debbie Mosley

Because of who you are,  I give you glory

Because of who you are, I give you praise

Because of who you are, I will lift my hands and say

Lord I worship you

Because of who you are.

Jehovah Jireh,

My Provider

Jehovah Nissi

You reign in victory

Jehovah Shalom

You are my Prince of Peace

and I worship You because of who you are.

Is the gift of tongues still alive in the church

Posted in Theology, Uncategorized at 7:24 pm by Debbie Mosley

It would be a mistake for evangelicals to forbid others to speak in tongues … That doesn’t mean that a person who is building a major part of his faith on something that is so … downplayed by Paul should be called to be your pastor,” Patterson said.

Dr Patterson is the president of Southwestern Theoligical Seminary in Ft Worth.

SWBTS did a chapel service with Dr. McKissic from Arlington. He spoke that he has a private prayer language. The seminary decided not to podcast his messege over the internet because most baptists don’t believe tongues still exist. (more)

Update:

D. Mckissic and W. Burleson had a conference last week. Read about what happened here
